Stock is getting low!
We are going to do another batch of On-Tube Storage, but we want to take the opportunity to make sure that it is as dialed as possible. Is there something that you wish it had or something that is keeping you from buying it? Do you just want a different color?
Now is your chance to have some input. We can’t incorporate everyone’s ideas, but we know that we can take advantage of our small batch production to iterate quickly and make the best product possible!
Fill out the form below, and we will do a little bit of R&D. When there is another drop coming, you will get a note from us in your inbox!
The original prototype of the On-Tube storage was built when my friend asked for a solution to carry his glasses on the bike.
In the PNW, things fog up quick, so having your eyewear protected on the climb can help make the descent as fun as possible. We took advantage of the mounting location on his RAAW Madonna, and made a basic bag with coated fabric and a waterproof zipper. The first tests were successful for carrying non-foggy glasses, and it turned out other people wanted to carry stuff too.
The production version of the bag is a little bit more feature-rich and includes a zipper flap to keep the elements out, pull tabs to make sipping and unzipping easier, and a stabilizer plate that bolts in with the bag to help minimize floppiness.

Fit guide
If you want to use the On-Tube storage, these are the key dimensions that you need to check on your bike. The mounting holes are the same as standard 64mm bottle cage spacing, with 15mm of front to back adjustment. You will need about 60mm or more of clearance between the mounting bolts and whatever frame tube it is closest to.
This covers the most common critical dimensions, but obviously there are all sorts of plausible layouts and locations. If you are worried about fit, refer to the dimensions listed above. If things are really tight, we recommend cutting a rectangle out of cardboard that matches the bag dimensions, and using that as a clearance gauge on your setup.
It doesn’t have to be EXACT, since fabric will conform around some curves, but you don’t want it getting smooshed between tubes and shocks and stuff. We also recommend getting some sort of protective film (like this) to put where your bag might rub your frame or any other components.
If you don’t have enough room for the Standard On-Tube Storage, check out the Small On-Tube Storage.

Standard
vs.
Small
On-Tube storage comes in two sizes:
Standard: 185mm L x 55mm H x 65mm W
Small: 110mm L x 50mm H x 60mm W
As for features, the standard can be mounted with bolts OR straps, while the small can only be mounted with bolts.
The standard has a zipper flap that helps keep debris out, so consequently, it works best when mounted on the underside of your tope tube. The small doesn’t have the zipper flap. This means that it can be mounted on any tube you want without it looking silly.
The Standard bag includes a support plate to help stabilize it. The Small bag does not include a support plate because it doesn’t need it.
